Cindy is a lawyer and an accountant with experience in all aspects of developing and implementing sophisticated estate plans, often involving trusts. Cindy is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cidel Trust Company and the implementation and administration of various trust structures.
Cindy has experience with major accounting and law firms in the area of taxation. In particular, her practice focused on developing and implementing complicated estate plans for high-net-worth individuals and their families. Cindy’s understanding of the use of trusts for tax and estate planning is invaluable in meeting clients’ needs and in ensuring that the highest level of fiduciary standards is maintained.
Cindy co-authored the text, “Taxation and Estate Planning in Canada,” a leading text used for taxation law courses in Canada. She has taught both the estate planning and trust law courses at the University of Calgary and has published numerous articles in the area of taxation.
