- Do I need permission from my customer before posting their recommendation on our website?

Claudius du Plooy
Business LawGenerally, you don't need formal written permission to post a positive recommendation concerning your services. But good public relations suggest that you should get the customer's permission to post their name, any photos, and their written testimonials. It's just another opportunity to talk to a happy customer so why wouldn't you contact them first?
Most customers are flattered by a testimonial posting request. And testimonials add great credibility to your business, much more so than other forms of marketing and advertising.
