Steven Major represents individuals and corporations on a broad array of litigation matters including commercial and contractual disputes, construction, civil fraud recovery, police law, estate law, personal injury (head of the firm's practice group), and certain criminal and quasi-criminal defence work.
Steve appears before administrative tribunals and all levels of courts in Alberta, including the Alberta Court of Appeal. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked at both the Court of Appeal and Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta for the former Chief Justice, the Honourable W.K. Moore.
Steve is an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Past President of the Calgary Bar Association, and an active member of the Canadian Bar Association's Civil Law and Personal Injury sections.
He is co-chair of the annual Calgary Flames Ambassador Charity Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament raising $3.3 million over nine years, Chairman of the Calgary Stampede's Innovation Committee, and his son's lacrosse coach. He is an avid golfer, a mediocre (but enthusiastic) hockey player, and enjoys acting gigs whenever possible.
